Project Engineer/Project Landscape Architect - Project Manager

D.A. Hogan & Associates, Inc. a multi-disciplinary design firm based in historic Pioneer Square, Seattle WA is seeking qualified candidates for positions on our Projects Team.  Our focus on athletic/sports facilities includes project work in every niche from local parks and schools to collegiate and professional sports facilities nationwide.   Qualified Candidates will have a minimum 3 years Washington State, Oregon, or California PE/Civil or Landscape Architect Registration, 3 years with direct Project Design and Administration responsibility on projects over $1,000,000 in construction contract value, and a strong working knowledge of regional design, permitting, and construction norms.  A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required.  Self-directed, motivated individuals with a passion for recreational, collegiate, and/or professional sports will excel in our selection process.
 
Successful Candidate(s) will develop a strong understanding of the necessary details of Sports Facilities Design & Engineering quickly in our fast-paced, varied project environments, working directly with our Principals and experienced staff.
 
Actual responsibilities of the position may vary depending on the experience of the successful candidate(s), but is likely to include any or all of the following;
  • Prepare and Maintain Project Schedules
  • Prepare Early Design Alternatives
  • Perform Project Take-Offs and Prepare Construction Cost Estimates
  • Identify Permit Requirements and Facilitate Processing
  • Manage & Coordinate Project Subconsultants
  • Perform and Direct CADD Drafting in all Phases of the Design Process
  • Attend and Facilitate Project Meetings with Clients, Subconsultants, and Contractors
  • Prepare written correspondence to Clients, Subconsultants, and Contractors
 
Our Staff are required to routinely perform visits to proposed project sites, professional offices, and active construction sites all over Western Washington and often out-of-state, including Oregon, California, Idaho, and beyond.  All mileage, air travel, lodging, etc. time and expense are fully compensated.

  • Current & Recent employment histories must demonstrate relevant experience & responsibilities.
  • Project Experience examples.  Provide sufficient detail to demonstrate relevant experience & responsibilities as described above.
 
Your Portfolio of Work Examples should include the following at a minimum;
  • Design examples, including any combination of freehand, computer graphic, and AutoCADD documents with an emphasis on construction documentation and detailing.
  • Technical Writing examples, including routine correspondence on matters of a technical nature (sensitive confidential information redacted as appropriate).
  • Specification Writing / Editing examples.  Include a brief narrative description of the actual work you performed on the example.
