Seattle Seahawks Football/Soccer Stadium

D.A. Hogan & Associates was the field consultant for the infilled synthetic turf field installed at the new football/soccer stadium for the Seattle Seahawks. Our role included drainage, grading, and layout design as well as facilitating the evaluation of both natural and synthetic turf systems. D.A. Hogan & Associates prepared the RFP documents for both the natural and synthetic turf field surfacing systems and provided daily inspections during the construction phase. The field was constructed on a porous asphalt base with full subsurface drainage. The field markings at the stadium are applied entirely with paint, allowing for separate and unique marking systems for both professional football, and professional soccer use of the facility, without overlap of markings. The stadium utilizes removable goal posts for football, soccer, and rugby. The field surface includes a small crown and a perimeter trench drain system to provide drainage for special events such as concerts and shows that require the field to be covered.
